Medicare Advantage — also called Part C — is an all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers approved by Medicare. One plan bundles your Part A and Part B benefits, usually adds Part D prescription coverage, and often includes extras Original Medicare doesn't, like dental, vision, hearing, and fitness benefits. Many plans carry a low or even $0 monthly premium.
What Makes Advantage Plans Attractive
- Low or $0 monthly premiums (you still pay your Part B premium)
- Built-in extras — dental, vision, hearing, and often fitness memberships
- A yearly out-of-pocket maximum that caps your spending
- Prescription drug coverage bundled into one plan and one card
What to Watch Before You Enroll
Advantage plans use provider networks (usually HMO or PPO), so it's important to confirm your doctors and preferred hospitals are in-network, and that your medications are on the plan's formulary. Plans can also change their networks, drug lists, and benefits each year — which is why an annual review matters.

How The Pane Agency Helps
As an independent agency, we work with multiple top-rated carriers, so we can compare the plans actually available in your ZIP code against your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget — instead of steering you toward one product. It's free, and there's no obligation.
This page is for general education only and is not plan-specific advice. The Pane Agency does not offer every plan available in your area. We are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program. For a complete list of options, contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE.
